Water is vital to your Kat’s health. Kats on dry food diets are often chronically dehydrated. Dehydration can lead to many health problems, including urinary tract infections and bladder and kidney disease.

Kats were originally a desert species, they do not have a strong thirst for water; it is their natural instinct to derive most of their water from their diet. The natural prey of a wild Kat contains between 65-80% water. Dry food averages 10% water, while canned food averages 78% water.
